Marvel’s Avengers Video Game Delayed, Crystal Dynamics Announced

One of the highly anticipated games of the year, Marvel’s Avengers video game, has been previously announced to release in May 2020. However, it seems like the developer still needs more time as they revealed that it will be delayed. Crystal Dynamics confirmed the delay on their blog post, stating that they still need to work on something to achieve and satisfy the fans who are waiting for the game. Here’s the official announcement from their site: “At Crystal Dynamics our ambition has always been to deliver the ultimate Avengers gaming experience. In order to achieve that goal, we have made the difficult decision to move the release date of Marvel’s Avengers to September 4, 2020.

When we set out to bring you our vision for Marvel’s Avengers, we committed to delivering an original story-driven campaign, engaging co-op, and compelling content for years to come. Japan Academy Awards Announces Five Anime Films for Animation of the Year

"Kingdom" and "Tonde Saitama" are selected as "Excellent Film of the Year" The Japan Academy Film Prize Association announced the nominees for this year's 43rd Japan Academy Prize today on January 15. All nominees receive "Awards of Excellence." Two live-action film adaptations of Japanese manga, Kingdom (based on Yasuhisa Hara's historical manga) and Tonde Saitama (Mineo Maya's comedy) are selected as "Excellent Film of the Year," alongside Shimbun Kisha, Heisa Byoutou - Sorezore no Asa-, and Hachimitsu to Enrai. And the directors of the two films, Shinsuke Sato and Hideki Takeuchi are also included in "Excellent director of the year." The Grand Prize will be presented in a ceremony to be held in Tokyo on March 6, 2020.

Check Out New Key Visual for Naruto Kabuki Play's Nagoya Run

Following the sold-out runs in Tokyo and Kyoto, the kabuki stage play adaptation of Masashi Kishimoto's ninja action manga Naruto will visit the Misonoza theater in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, for 34 shows from April 4 to 26, 2020. A new key visual for the Nagoya shows featuring Bando Minosuke II as Naruto Uzumaki, Hayato Nakamura as Sasuke Uchiha, and Baigyoku Nakamura as Madara Uchiha is revealed on the play's official website.




The first run of the Naruto kabuki play, directed by G2 (Musical Bio Hazard ~Voice of Gaia~), was held at Shinbashi Enbujo in Tokyo from August 4 to 27, 2018. Its second run followed at the Minamiza Theater in Kyoto from June 2 to 26, 2019. Advance sales for the Nagoya shows will begin on February 2, 2020.

Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away Became Top-Grossing Japanese Film of 2019 in China

The China Film Administration announced the box office numbers of the Chinese and foreign films released in the year 2019. The cumulative revenue in the Chinese film market in 2019 was 64.266 billion yuan, which was more than 1 trillion yen (about 9.2 billion US dollars).


The top-grossing Japanese film was Hayao Miyazaki's 2001 anime feature Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi / Spirited Away, which was released in 9,000 theaters across China on June 21, 2019, 18 years later than its home country, then earned 488 million yuan (70 million US dollars). Miyazaki's 1988 film Tonari no Totoro / My Neighbor Totoro was also released in December 2018, 30 years after its Japanese release.


Coming in second is Makoto Shinkai's Tenki no Ko / Weathering With You, which made 288 million yuan (41 million US dollars), which was less than half of the Chinese box office gross of Shinkai's previous film Kimi no Na wa. / Your Name. (88 million US dollars).

Comics About Yakuza Turned Househusband Gets Live Action Promo

Gokushufudo (The Way of the Househusband) centers on the daily shenanigans of Immortal Tatsu, a former legendary yakuza. He has retired from a life of crime to work as a full-time house husband for his wife Miku and their cats. Tatsu takes chores seriously.


He uses yakuza-esque language while running errands, make completely mundane tasks look thoroughly sinister, causes misunderstandings everywhere. To celebrate over one million volumes sold, The Way of the Househusband has come out with a live action commercial with Kenjiro Tsuda as Tatsu and Maaya Sakamoto as the voice of Miku.
Clocking in at just over four minutes long, the preview video is co-directed by Kenjiro Tsuda and Hayato Yazaki. The video stars Kenjiro Tsuda as Tatsu, aka "the Immortal Dragon", as well as voice actress Maaya Sakamoto as the voice of Miku, Tatsu's working professional wife. The original The Way of the Househusband manga is serialized in Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch digital manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Viz Media, who describe the story of the series as follows: He was the fiercest member of the yakuza, a man who left countless underworld legends in his wake. They called him “the Immortal Dragon.” But one day he walked away from it all to travel another path—the path of the househusband! The curtain rises on this cozy yakuza comedy!
