Comics About Yakuza Turned Househusband Gets Live Action Promo

Gokushufudo (The Way of the Househusband) centers on the daily shenanigans of Immortal Tatsu, a former legendary yakuza. He has retired from a life of crime to work as a full-time house husband for his wife Miku and their cats. Tatsu takes chores seriously.

He uses yakuza-esque language while running errands, make completely mundane tasks look thoroughly sinister, causes misunderstandings everywhere. To celebrate over one million volumes sold, The Way of the Househusband has come out with a live action commercial with Kenjiro Tsuda as Tatsu and Maaya Sakamoto as the voice of Miku.
Clocking in at just over four minutes long, the preview video is co-directed by Kenjiro Tsuda and Hayato Yazaki. The video stars Kenjiro Tsuda as Tatsu, aka "the Immortal Dragon", as well as voice actress Maaya Sakamoto as the voice of Miku, Tatsu's working professional wife. The original The Way of the Househusband manga is serialized in Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch digital manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Viz Media, who describe the story of the series as follows: He was the fiercest member of the yakuza, a man who left countless underworld legends in his wake. They called him “the Immortal Dragon.” But one day he walked away from it all to travel another path—the path of the househusband! The curtain rises on this cozy yakuza comedy!
